Description
The UTT series units by SIC Srl are air handling units featuring fans coupled to the three-phase motor by a belt drive. These air handling units feature fans are mostly used in systems that require higher flow-rates, pressure gains and capacities. The six standard versions can be personalized contacting SIC Technical Office.

Technical features
• The structure is made up of load-bearing frame made from extruded “Anticorodal” aluminium section bars, joined together by nylon joints.
• The panelling is sandwich-type, with white-grey pre-painted steel outer walls and galvanized steel plate inner walls. The panels are fastened to the structure using self-tapping screws in plastic bushes.
• The ventilating section has been designed to minimize the noise generated by the fan. That is why the motor-fan assembly is insulated by the structure using shock-absorbers on the base, and a Neoprene vibration-damping joint between the outlet and the panelling. The dual intake centrifugal fans have forward blades and are statically and dynamically balanced. For sizes 095, 130 and 175 are used duplex fans.
• Carefully selected to achieve high efficiency the motor-fan drive is made up of variable-pitch pulleys and V-belts on all sizes. The electric motors used are three-phase one or two speeds models, ventilated externally, with class F insulation and IP55 index of protection, fastened on a guide to adjust the tightness of the belts. The use of variable-pitch drive pulleys allows the speed to be adjusted and consequently the pressure gain to be controlled according to the needs of the system.
• The coil containment section on the UTT units, in both the horizontal and vertical versions, is designed to house two heating and/or cooling coils. The coils are all made from copper pipes with aluminium fins: 2 or 4 rows for the hot water coils, 4 or 6 rows for the cooling water coils. In the standard configurations, the coils are installed - vertically, for both coils in the horizontal version, UTT/H - at an angle, for the cooling coil, and vertically for heating coil in the vertical version, UTT/V.
• The filter section houses pleated synthetic cell filters with a weighted filtering efficiency of 90,8%, as per Eurovent G4. In all configurations, the access is guaranteed for inspection and maintenance.
