The history of Beretta begins in September 1950. The Company gives a start to its activity as an outside
contractor in the metal and mechanical business for large Italian and international industrial groups, distinguishing itself for quality and reliability. With the years passing by, Beretta concentrates its competence in the residential heating sector, setting the roots of what will become its specialization. Based on the acquired know-how, Beretta enters into production in 1969 with its own brand: kerosene and gas oil floor standing boilers for individual households. The foundation of this strategic choice lies in the idea of innovation for improbe end user comfort and, moreover, savings that can be derived from a higher degree of autonomy. 1973 saw the second, fundamental, evolution for the company. First in the Italian market, Beretta begins the production of wall-hung gas boilers. In an age of oil crisis, gas represented an ideal energy source for the development of residential heating. Beretta was probably the first in the market to recognize the importance of this development as an alternative to the traditional combustion and decides to follow it with an outstanding success.
As the years go by, the competence of the brand in residential heating shows continuous, rapid growth until Beretta becomes the market’s leading force.
