DESIGN
The design requirements were addressed by the development and design team following the concept of mimicry. OCTOPUS is present but not visible. This high-efficiency heat recovery VMC air conditioner is installed in the false ceiling (a delight for the most demanding architects!) and occupies significantly reduced spaces thanks to a thickness of only 24 cm.
AIR QUALITY
With OCTOPUS, new air is filtered upon entry to ensure improved occupant health, while stale air is extracted from humid areas (such as the kitchen and bathrooms). This prevents stale air from spreading throughout the house, recovering it from all rooms, filtering it, and forcing it through a heat exchanger that transfers its energy to the new air. In this process, there is no air exchange but rather energy exchange, while the stale air is expelled outside.
COMFORT
OCTOPUS is equipped with an exclusive, easy, and intuitive Dual Zone control: a double digital thermostat with all functions indicated very simply to independently manage the day and night zones. It also offers the possibility of remote WI-FI connection via APP, allowing you to control the comfort temperature even when you are not at home.
ENERGY SAVINGS
The energy savings resulting from the installation of this exclusive VMC air conditioner with heat recovery, born from Aerfor's experience, derive from the skillful combination of several factors:
- Uniqueness of a system that combines heating, cooling, and VMC in a single solution using brushless and DC motors with reduced energy consumption;
- Use of the energy from the extracted air to pre-treat the new air both in summer and winter. Its use offers great economic benefits and is currently the ideal solution for homes that require a high level of energy efficiency;
- The system also manages two different temperatures, day zone and night zone, independently, to offer the user maximum comfort.
SIMPLICITY and FUNCTIONALITY
The OCTOPUS system is adaptable to any type of heat pump, boiler, or generator that produces technical water. It is a unit with exceptional installation characteristics: it does not require expensive false ceiling ducting projects, nor the channels and their laborious and costly installation. The system connects with easily and quickly installable Sanitized certified antibacterial tubular ducts.
It comes complete with all the necessary components, facilitating installation operations that are reduced to the assembly of 4 hydraulic and electrical connections and the connection of flexible tubes for air intake and extraction.
Its very small dimensions and extraordinary level of environmental integration allow OCTOPUS to be installed in homes of any size.
How the all-in-one OCTOPUS climate control system works
- When the climate control system is activated, the outdoor unit starts the compressor or boiler, initiating its operating cycle.
- The water in the circuit is sent to the ventilation unit at the selected temperature, depending on the user’s chosen mode, whether cooling or heating.
- The technical water supplied by the outdoor unit passes through the aluminum finned coil heat exchanger inside the ventilation unit, heating or cooling the air before it is distributed into the rooms.
- The treated air is filtered through M5 and G3 filters, which are easily removable, washable, and reusable, ensuring excellent indoor air quality.
- The air supplied to the various rooms is always a mixture of recirculated and fresh air, which can be either heated or cooled, while stale (or exhaust) air is expelled outside.
