Energy efficiency: in Europe will be more important than renewable energy
According to institutional investors, energy efficiency, applied to different areas, will have greater growth potential in the future than any other sector.
Energy efficiency is the sector with the most growth potential according to European institutional investors. The opinion emerges from various studies carried out by the Observatory on finance green for the Green Investor Day, the event now in its second edition, which will be held on May 9 in Milan, on the occasion of Solarexpo.
Energy efficiency has more potential than renewable energy, the green sector par excellence, which grew to exponential levels in recent years: the survey, conducted on 50 institutional investors in Europe, revealed that renewable energies are in third place in the ranking of the attractiveness of investments, with 23%, outclassed by the Waste Management (held with high growth potential from 38% of respondents) and energy efficiency, chosen by 67%.
The Green Investor Day is the event that will allow the meeting between finance and the green companies: the meeting will deal with the development strategies and business models useful to investors, banks and financial institutions. The second part of the meeting will analyze the potential for the future development of the green industry, innovations expectations and financing, with particular attention to the trends in emerging markets.
