The event takes place in a country with highly favourable geo-climatic characteristics for wind energy, and with a market that offers considerable development possibilities.

Eolica Argentina, the fair dedicated to the wind energy industry in Argentina, will take place from 3 to 5 July 2012 in the La Rural, Buenos Aires Exhibition Centre, and will be held on an annual basis.

The event has been created thanks to the agreement between Artenergy Publishing, leading company in the organization of events dedicated to renewable energies and the organizer of Eolica Expo Mediterranean in Italy since 2002, and AAEE, the Argentine Wind Energy Association.

Prof. Erico Spinadel, President of AAEE, says: “The AAEE welcome the cooperation with Artenergy Publishing, their experience in such events would certainly push the intended Conference and Exhibition to a remarkable success.  For long years, many were those who worked to leverage our exceptional wind potential. Now it is the real time that seeds planted years ago are sprouting in Argentina. The international award we have just received from the Human Civic Parliament, Mayor Laurels for Community Greatness, motives us to share it with all the participants of this Conference & Exhibition”.

Marco Pinetti, president of Artenergy Publishing, says: “After the important success of Eolica Expo Mediterranean, the fifth fair of the sector at worldwide level, we decided, in collaboration with AAEE, to launch an event on wind energy in Argentina, a country that offers important opportunities for this sector.”
Argentina, in fact, has highly favourable geo-climatic characteristics: about 70% of the country has strong and constant wind, suitable for the production of wind energy.
