If we connect a wood-burning fireplace boiler to a heating system connected also to a gas boiler, it is necessary to connect a heat exchange device between the two heat generators, so that an energy exchange, and not fluids exchange, occurs.
These heat exchange device usually have consistent inconvenients: scales and high loss of flow resistance, both in the primary and the secondary circuits. Moreover, the connection of a wood-burning fireplace boiler or any other solid fuel heat generator implies the presence of an open expansion tank and the safety and flow pipes that need to be placed on the loft or at least 3-4 meters above the highest radiator, considering that the tank and the piping may freeze following to a temperature drop.

Fast-energy, the Famar heat exchanger contains the open expansion tank and the connection between the two heat generators in a very compact space, solving the problems normally involved with open-circuit systems. This device is installed above or at the side of the chimney boiler, and eliminates all need for installing the open expansion tank and safety and filling pipes in the loft of the house.

MAIN TECHNICAL FEATURES:
1) Connects the closed circuit gas boiler system to the open circuit chimney boiler system, or another solid fuel heat generator.
