Radiant Heating and Cooling System Fonterra Reno: Now even flatter and easier to fit.
The surface heating system Fonterra Reno is based on system panels, measuring just 18 mm thick, made of gypsum fibre material with milled pipe grooves. The flexible 12 x 1.3 mm polybutene pipe can be quickly and easily laid off the roll. This economic installation has now been improved again: effective immediately, the system panels have undercut grooving. This simplifies the assembly of the PB pipes as well as meaning the panels can now be sealed directly with an ultra free-flowing compound.
For this purpose, Viega is also offering a new sealing compound. After laying the heating circuits, this is applied in an ultra free-flowing state. Without laborious levelling out or smoothing out, flatness tolerances can be achieved, which correspond to the increased demands of DIN 18202. After drying out, the surface is so stable that parquet or laminate flooring can be directly laid upon it.
The drying time of the sealing compound correlates to the considerably quicker process overall: without heating that must be carefully monitored, the floor can be walked upon after just two to four hours. After 24 hours, tiles or carpet can be laid. A drying time of three days is recommended for parquet, laminate or PVC flooring.
Technical and Design Advantages
As well as the acquisition of valuable room height and the time-saving processing, the sealing of the Fonterra surface heating also has the advantage that the complete encirclement of PB pipes improves the heat transfer. The system works more effectively and energy-efficiently than before.
Beyond these “technical” advantages, the expanded Fonterra Reno range also opens up more design options in the bathroom: due to the continuous floor level, different floor coverings can be used, for example, tiles near the bathtub or a floor-level shower, with the passage into the living area in warm wooden parquet flooring – your fantasies know no bounds.
Clear Labelling
The new Fonterra system panels with undercut pipe grooves are available immediately. The sealable Fonterra Reno panels are labelled with the inscription „Fonterra Reno“. As the construction corresponds with the previous system panels, the two designs can be combined and installed as normal. This also applies to floor constructions for renovation or in accordance with EnEV energy saving regulations.
