Rivit Rivlock blind bolts
The Rivit Rivlock blind bolts are a quick fastening system for applications requiring a strong mechanical resistance in parts subject to high vibrations.
Description
The speed is given by the overcoming of the traditional use of other fasteners such as bolts with nuts, which joins an ease of assembly that requires no special skills.
The system consists of a bolt and a collar; the fastening consists in the moulding of the collar on the bolt locking groove
The Rivlock blind bolts come in many different diameters and lengths, to be chosen considering the grip range. They are available in aluminum, zinc plated or stainless steel; with dome or countersunk head.
The main advantages of the blind bolting system are the reduction in installation times, steady mechanical features, fast installation and check.
For the Rivlock blind bolts installation it is possible to use RIV508, hydropneumatic tools for blind rivets and bolts, which allows to install standard rivets up to Ø 7,8mm and Rivlock blind bolts up to Ø 6,4mm; RIV508 is a reversible tools fitted out with a system of rivet suction and nail recovery.
Rivit recommends also RIV509, hydropneumatic tool designed to place blind bolts from Ø 6,4mm to 10,0mm, and to cut the installed blind bolt collars.
