Terna: global leader in sustainability for the 15th consecutive year

Terna's recognition for continuous inclusion in the Euronext Vigeo World 120, Europe 120, and Eurozone 120 indices underscores its ongoing commitment to sustainability.

Terna has reaffirmed its position as a global leader in sustainability, earning inclusion in S&P Global's Dow Jones Sustainability ESG indices for the fifteenth consecutive year. Led by Giuseppina Di Foggia, the Group has also distinguished itself in the FTSE Russell’s FTSE4Good and Euronext Vigeo indices, based on Moody’s ESG Solutions ratings.

The non-financial rating agency Morningstar, Sustainalytics, recently awarded Terna the highest possible score, positioning it among the top electric companies worldwide.

Terna: excellence in multiple areas

S&P Global, through its Corporate Sustainability Assessment, evaluates the sustainability performance of the world's largest capitalized companies based on economic, environmental, and social criteria. In 2023, over 8,000 companies, including more than 250 operators in the electric sector, were assessed, and Terna achieved excellent scores in all ESG areas.

Terna also received recognition for continuous inclusion in the Euronext Vigeo World 120, Europe 120, and Eurozone 120 indices for twelve years and in the FTSE4Good index for nineteen years. These results stem from the semi-annual reviews conducted by Euronext and FTSE Russell.

Sustainalytics classified Terna in its highest rating category, "Negligible Risk," highlighting the company's excellence in various areas including environmental protection and biodiversity, climate risk management, cybersecurity, occupational health and safety, anti-discrimination, and carbon footprint reduction.

Sustainability as a key element in terna's strategy

Constant inclusion in ESG indices and positive evaluations from leading ESG rating agencies further consolidate Terna's position as a leader in sustainability.

The company is listed in major international ESG indices, including STOXX Global ESG Leaders, Bloomberg Gender Equality, S&P Global 1200 ESG, MIB ESG, and ECPI. Additionally, Terna received the Best ESG Rating Award 2023 from Standard Ethics, a renowned non-financial rating agency, for its excellent sustainability performance, particularly in the environmental sector.

Sustainability is a key element in Terna's strategy, with 99% of its investments classified as sustainable according to the European Taxonomy.
