The first zero energy balance industrial building in Italy

Guzzini Engineering, italian leader in integrated design of buildings, industrial and civil structures, has created a low environmental impact industrial building, experiencing the new frontier of eco-friendly building.

- There is consciousness of the future inside a building which the energy consumption balance is zero, but above all, the awareness that energy conservation is a crucial key to make the future more open to the new generations of children.

The basic idea of Guzzini Engineering is reducing energy loss and make sure that buildings can consume the fruit of self-made energy, produced by the use of alternative energy sources.

So those buildings are designed precisely zero energy balance, following the assumption that what is produced is consumed, which is why the equation that characterizes their design brings to zero the sum of its parts.

A solution made possible rethinking the costs as a sum of cash inflows and outflows from the production processes: here so that solar panels become the roof covering perfectly in harmony with the rest of the structure, as in the case of the Roccheggiani photovoltaic panels. Or pipes and boilers become decorative items and furniture. Or, another example, the inclined faces of Valenti designed high performance windows whose give a dynamic aspect to the building and offer a significant advantage from the lowering of solar radiations.

All this is possible thanks to the formula that allows the integrated design, since the concept stage, to have an overview of the entire work from the point of view of architecture, engineering and technology.
